About Deon

My name is Deon Binneman and I am a speaker, seminar leader,  thought leader and consultant on how to manage and protect business reputations.

I have been an independent consultant  for the past thirteen years and have spoken at more than 60 events in more than eight countries (including Australia, Singapore, South Africa, Malaysia, Holland and Botswana) about the importance of reputation and the dangers of damaging it, either as an individual or organization.

I facilitate seminars designed to empower business leaders and managers to deal with reputation issues. These hands-on seminars include Reputation Protection & Crisis Response Master Classes, Stakeholder Reputation and a 2 – day Corporate Reputation Management Program for Board members and busy executives.

I have studied Strategic Management, Public Relations, Occupational Health & Safety, Governance, Risk and Ethics and numerous other subjects.

80% of my time is spent facilitating and speaking to audiences about treating reputation as an organization’s biggest asset and risk.  The rest of my time is spent consulting and counseling & mentoring leaders. I am often asked for my opinion and advice in a crisis situation, especially how to deal with both the reality and perceptual aspects of the crisis.

I like to think of myself first and foremost as a speaker and educator, not as a traditional PR consultant but more as a management consultant that understands the management of organizations and intangibles, including the important processes of organizational and interpersonal communication.
